The mortal remains of the Tamale police woman,Sergeant Nana Agatha Nabin who was shot while at a duty post near Kumbungu has been interred after a funeral ceremony was done in her honour at Tamale.

A solemn and somber ceremony was held on Saturday 24th August,2019 at the Holy Cross Parish Church  Choggu in Tamale with friends,family and members of the Ghana Police Service wailing uncontrollably.

The funeral mass was officiated by the the Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Most Rev. Philip Naameh.

There was the presence of a high powerful delegation from government led by the Interior minister,Ambrose Derry ,Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) James Oppong Boanu and some top rank officials within the Ghana Police Service.

Large crowd from all walks of life gathered at the Holy Cross Parish to catch a glimpse at the casket of the slain police woman with intermittent wailing heard during the service.

There was a chilling dead silence in the church auditorium with almost everyone gripped with sadness when the widower, Paul Nabin mounted the pulpit to read his tribute to her slain wife.

“The killers of my wife will never know peace,” he said, as he wept uncontrollably."He said she was a kind woman."

“I have indeed lost a partner, companion and a friend. My hero, our hero is gone. Rest in perfect peace with your maker till we meet again,” he stated.

Late Sergeant Nana Agatha Nabin was aged 30 and married to Paul Nabin she was survived by three children.
