Captain of Dreams FC Leonard Owusu hopes he takes his good form into the upcoming season after being adjudged the Player of the Tournament of the GHALCA G8 tournament.

Leonard was on the scoresheet in the final against Hearts when his team won 2-1 and was named Man of the Match, a prize he won when his side faced Kumasi Asante Kotoko earlier in the competition.

The talented midfielder was instrumental for Dreams throughout the competition and has seen his brilliant performances rewarded with the ultimate individual prize.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Leonard said to be adjudged the best player of the tournament is a ‘moral booster’ for him ahead of the season’s kick off in a few weeks time.

“It’s a moral booster for me as an upcoming footballer. I’m hoping to achieve greater heights, this is not going to be the end.

I think with hard work and listening to the advice of my coaches and technical team I can achieve my aim.

Going into the season, I hope to keep this form from start to the end”

He received a 1000ghc cash prize and several other products from the sponsors of the tournament.
