The Ghana Police Service has arrested 106 individuals in connection with disturbances that erupted after the recent elections.
In a statement, the Police also confirmed the detention of nine additional suspects linked to an attack on the Electoral Commission (EC) office in Ayensuano, Eastern Region.
The suspects are currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations into the violence and vandalism.
The attack is one of several incidents of unrest reported across the country following the elections.
The Police have intensified efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible, emphasizing their commitment to holding perpetrators accountable.
“All arrested individuals are undergoing legal processes as we work diligently to restore order,” the statement noted.
The Ghana Police Service reassured the public of its dedication to maintaining peace and security nationwide.
It urged citizens to remain patient as investigations continue and encouraged public cooperation by providing information to aid in bringing offenders to justice.
