On Matchday 15 of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Sea Lions faced a tough defeat against Police Ladies, losing 2-0.

Despite being bottom of the Southern Zone table, Sea Lions struggled to find their footing throughout the match, allowing Police Ladies to dominate proceedings.

Police Ladies took the lead in the 42nd minute after Sea Lions' captain, Dorcas Kumiwa Addei, conceded a penalty. Deborah Afriyie converted the penalty, putting Police Ladies ahead.

The visitors continued their strong performance in the second half, with Grace Animah doubling the lead with a well-taken goal eleven minutes after halftime.

Although Sea Lions improved their performance in the latter stages of the game and created some chances, they were unable to breach Police Ladies' solid defense, resulting in a 2-0 victory for the away team.

With this loss, Sea Lions remain rooted at the bottom of the league table in the Southern Zone, having amassed only 7 points from 15 matches.

In other matches, Jonina Ladies secured a crucial away point against Essiam Socrates. Zulfawu Ibrahim opened the scoring for Essiam Socrates in the 16th minute, but Agnes Azasi equalized for Jonina Ladies with a powerful strike in the 37th minute.

Meanwhile, Faith Ladies returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Ladystrikers at the Carl Reindorf Park.

The match was intense and filled with excitement, with both teams pushing hard for a win.

Sandra Donkor opened the scoring for Faith Ladies in the 52nd minute, followed by goals from Esther Asamoah Yiadom and Zanira Abdul Razak.

Ladystrikers managed to score a consolation goal in the 88th minute, but Faith Ladies secured the win with a final score of 3-1.

Faith Ladies currently sit second in the Southern Zone table, trailing leaders Hasaacas Ladies by 5 points, with 27 points accumulated.
