Actor John Dumelo has blamed the Ghana Police over their inability to prevent violent attacks on pollen agents of the National Democratic Congress at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

The Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC believes the police are complicit in those violent treatment meted out to his agents, as their inactions aided the NPP thugs to perpetuate their ignoble acts in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

The UN Ambassador  on Tuesday took to his social media page to express concerns over the incident that happened in the Legon campus.

A statement from John Dumelo’s team indicated that agents of the NDC have been brutalized in the presence of Policemen who stand aloof, warning that a further terror act can fracture the peace of the nation.

It further said the incumbent MP has been made aware of the challenge they are going through and asked that she deals with it or they will take the laws into their own hands.

“Should she continue to remain indifferent to the concerns raised that she has been made aware of severally, alternative reliefs within the confines of our laws will be sought by this Campaign team to ensure the protection of all constituents from acts of thuggery and hooliganism.”

There has been reports of flushes of violence in some registration centers for which the Police have been blamed for not doing anything to avert the situation.

John Dumeolo is contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat, which is being occupied by the NPP's Lydia Alhassan, who has been labelled as "bloody widow"  after been blamed for engineering a violent by-election in January 2019.
