The Metro Mass Transit (MMT) terminal in Kumasi need to undergo massive renovation to bring comfort to the people, who have been patronizing the services of the company for the past few years.

This comes amid growing public complaints and dissatisfaction with the state of conditions at the Abrepo junction based terminal.

When Silver FM's Akwadaa Nyame visited the terminal, the washrooms had become completely bad, while many of the seats meant to provide some relaxation to travelers as they waited to catch a bus to their destination had got broken making them stand on their feet more than two hours waiting for a bus.

Mr. Nicholas Oduro, Manager of the MMT had earlier indicated he was going to fix the problem within a month but has done absolutely nothing about it since he assumed office, making the situation worsening.

Madam Emilia Gyasi, a loyal customer of the company, who regularly travels on its buses from Kumasi to Obuasi, said she found it deeply troubling the way things were going.

She claimed there were times, passengers would get stranded at the terminal because there would be no buses and no chair to sit. She appealed to the management to sit up to bring some level of efficiency.

Other passengers, Dominic Ntiful and Abugri Comfort, said although the fares charged by the company were reasonable and affordable, it needed to up its game – to provide a world class service especially washrooms since they sometimes cross the other side of the road to attend to a nature calls.

Akwadaa Nyame reported that, about 50 buses have been parked without maintenance.
