Popular DJ in Zambia, known as Hero DJ beaten to a pulp
A popular Zambian Disk Jockey (DJ) has received a shock of his life after he was attacked and beaten to a pulp by some irate youth for playing a South African song in a club.
Identified as Hero DJ, according to a Facebook post sighted by Ghanaguardian.com, was beaten severely by patrons of the club who could not control their anger after he dropped the SA song.
The severe beating transfigured the face of Hero DJ as if he just returned from a boxing bout.
A Facebook user with the name, Star DJ Virus shared the story on his timeline. He posted the ‘before and after’ photos of the DJ.
“Zambian DJ Hero DJ gains weight in seconds after playing South African music in Club on the a Copperbelt #StopXenophobia”, the caption read.
The incident comes at the back of a xenophobic attack by South Africans against other African nationals in Johannesburg recently.
Many African leaders and celebrities are still advocating to end these alarming attacks on fellow African brothers and sisters, but the clueless attack on the Zambian DJ shows the incident is not ending anytime soon.
