Ghanaian striker Prince Kwabena Adu continued his impressive form for Viktoria Plzen, scoring in their crucial 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.

Viktoria Plzen secured their first win of the 2024/25 Europa League campaign, extending their unbeaten run in the tournament to four matches.

The 21-year-old forward electrified the home crowd at the Doosan Arena with an expertly taken goal in the 13th minute, giving Plzen an early lead and stunning the traveling Sociedad supporters.

Real Sociedad, however, found their way back into the match before halftime.

Orri Óskarsson latched onto a precise pass from Mikel Oyarzabal to net the equalizer in the 35th minute, setting up a tense second half.

The decisive moment came in the 90th minute when Czech international Daniel Vasulin, who had substituted for Kwabena Adu just two minutes earlier, found the back of the net to secure all three points for Plzen.

Adu’s performance bolstered his already impressive debut season with Plzen, where he has now recorded six goals and one assist in 12 appearances across all competitions.

The former Bechem United striker joined the Czech club from Ukrainian side Kryvbas FC in a summer transfer worth approximately €700,000 and is under contract until 2027.
