In a bid to provide safe water for humanity Project Maji foundation which started in 2015 as a CSR division of Binatone and later seperated as an independent foundation NGO commissioned a water Project in the Tefle Traditional area of the south Tongu district in the Volta region.

According to the CEO and founder of of Project Maji foundation Mr Sulnil Lalvani who was speaking at a short ceremony held in the volta region, they are focused on building solar power to give water to one million people across Africa.So far they are running more than more than thirty projects in Ghana and 18 in Kenya with the dream of serving water to millions by 2025.

Theme for the program was "Opening of a Water Plant in partnership with Project Maji and Global Giving"

The Paramount Chief of Tefle Traditional Area, Togbe Nakakpo Dugbaza VIII who was the chairman of this remarkable event in his acceptance speech commended Project Maji Foundation for coming to rescue them

"People here must manage the project it os for them but the traditional council will have to play a supervisory role.We must periodically inspect the project.Professionally I am an engineer so I know what is going on there. We would professionally inspect this project but they would have to manage it" Togbe Nakakpo Dugbaza VIII.
Finally on the provision of water thus is what he had to say "It is very necessary water and toilet goes together ,we need them it is very necessary even Tefle East needs modern toilet because it is expanding"

The District Chief Executive For South Tongu, Hon. Emmanuel Louis Agama, stated that the local assembly was going to ensure that the projects are maintained and kept well for the use by the Kpordiwlor township.

The Representative from the ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources Mr. Ebenezer Charway assured The Project Maji Foundation with a full support from the ministry.
