Prosecutors have resumed investigation against Ghanaian football player Kingsley Sarfo regarding sex crimes against a 12-year-old girl, reports the South Sweden.

The investigation was previously closed for lack of evidence. The new message comes since TV4's Cold Facts in December sent a program in which several former teammates to Kingsley Sarfo said that they had seen him with a young girl in connection with training, when they played for the Uppsala club Sirius.

Cold facts is a Swedish TV documentary that chronicled the modus operandi of Kingsley Sarfo and how he lured and raped minors in Sweden and was aired in Sweden in December.

After that, the 12-year-old girl's plaintiff's assistant requested that the preliminary investigation be resumed.

Sarfo has previously been convicted of two counts of rape against children in a case involving a 14-year-old girl and for that he served a prison sentence and was recently released.

He was released when his defense team produced documents that are believed to show that the girl in question was 15 years old at the time of the sexual act.

Sarfo has also been sentenced to deportation but has been postponed.
