In the 2019 AFC Asian Cup final, Qatar have been crowned as the continent’s new champions after beating Japan 3-1 in Abu Dhabi.
With 12 minutes into play, the tournament's top-scorer Almoez Ali rose Asian standards after he scored a masterclass overhead-kick that placed him above any other striker in a single Asian Cup, with 9 goals.
It didn’t take long for Qatar to extend their lead, thanks to Abdul-Aziz Hatem who tried his luck from a 20-yard distance to ripple the net with a stunning curler.
The Samurai Blue fought back and reduced the gap in the 69th minute when Takumi Minamino chipped-over Qatar keeper. But a penalty kick from Akram Afif in the 82nd minute sealed the 1st ever Asian Cup Championship for the Qataris. Source: presstv.com
