Ghanaian midfielder Ransford Gyan has been honored as the best High School Player in the United States for the second consecutive time.

He received the prestigious Gatorade National Boys Soccer Player of the Year trophy on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, during a youth soccer tournament in Tennessee.

The Nsawkaw-born talent has made history as the first player to earn this accolade back-to-back.

The award ceremony took place in the presence of his coaches and teammates, highlighting his exceptional performance and contribution to his team's success.

Gyan, who attended St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey, had an outstanding season, scoring 28 goals and providing 14 assists.

His impressive stats were pivotal in leading his team to victory in the New Jersey Prep School championship game.

In addition to his national recognition, Gyan has also won three Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year awards, further cementing his status as a standout player in high school soccer.
