Ghanaian defender Baba Abdul Rahman sustained an injury on Tuesday as his side Reading defeated Rotherham 2-1 in the English Championship game.

He was taken off just after 41 minutes in the game that took place at the Majdeski Stadium.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian defender picked up a knock in the game and has to be withdrawn as a precaution as he was replaced by Nesta Guinness-Walker.

Rahman received medical attention on the pitch several times after picking up the knock before he was subsequently taken off.

The Chelsea defender who is on his annual loan at the Championship side has played in 18 games for his side in the English Championship as they eye a promotion play-off spot.

Lee Peltier gave Rotherham the lead of the game in the 37th minute before second-half goals from Andy Caroll and Tyrese  Fornah gave Reading a 2-1 win.

Andy Yiadom played the entire match for Reading as Tariq Fosu also featured for Rotherham.
