The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu has tasked the electorate in Gonjaland to reject President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the December 7 polls.

According to him, President Mahama has failed to fulfill   the numerous campaign promises which lured the electorate in Gonjaland to deliver all seven Parliamentary seats in the area to the NDC in the 2012 elections.

The outspoken Daniel Bugri Naabu was addressing a rally at Mpaha in the Yapei/Kusawgu constituency to climax the NPP’s campaigns in the Northern Region.

He said Gonjaland lacked good roads, health and water facilities among other social interventions needed to improve the living conditions of the people.

He described President Mahama as a promised and failed politician for which reason Gonjas should change position on December 7 and massively vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all NPP Parliamentarians to assuage their plight.

He assured the teaming crowd that the forthcoming elections could be “One touch” victory for Nana Akufo-Addo and thus pleaded with the electorate in Yapei/Kusawgu constituency to vote for Alhaji  Yakubu Zakaria as their next Member of Parliament.

He again advised the electorate to collect freebies from their main political opponents, the NDC and kick them out of office at the polls.

Daniel Bugri Naabu inspired NPP loyalists in the region to stay put at the polling stations after voting and protect the ballot.

He said every ballot must be protected and warned that the party would not spare any Electoral Commission officials or party agents who might attempt to manipulate the election results.

The NPP Yapei/Kusawgu Parliamentary candidate, Alhaji Yakubu Zakaria described his major contender on the NDC’s ticket John Jinapor as a greenhorn in the area’s political space.

He claimed John Jinapor lacked the experience and the political goodwill to address the constituency’s developmental deficit.

The former District Chief Executive for Gonja central, Alhaji Yakubu Zakaria said John Jinapor and the NDC had nothing new to offer the nation.

He insinuated that John Jinapor looted the state coffers to finance his campaign activities. He appealed to the electorate in Yapei/Kusawgu to wisely vote for him and Nana Akufo-Addo for meaningful development.
