The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, attributing widespread hardship to its policies.

Speaking during a visit to the Regent of Wungu, Sulemana Saka Adams, in Walewale, North East Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang encouraged voters to back NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming December 7 elections.

She argued that electing Mahama and the NDC would help “reset” the nation and uplift the well-being of Ghanaians.

“I doubt if any of our predecessors would have thought that the most important thing to do at this time is to go and unveil a statue to themselves,” she remarked.

She concluded by expressing gratitude to the Regent and his elders, urging them to support a government that, while not perfect, she believes will strive to serve the people well and leave a positive legacy.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is set to continue her tour in the North East Region on the second day of her visit.
