It is the civic duty of every citizen to have knowledge about the constitution of the land.

This is because it does not only serve as a guide but it enlightens the individual.

It is for this reason, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) team of the Adansi Asokwa district educated some constituents on the importance of the constitution to every Ghanaian.

From the church to the streets, nursing mothers, public servants, among others were taken through the importance of knowing what is entailed in the constitution.

Emphasizing how the constitution aids in democracy, the residents were sensitized on their civic duties most importantly, to defend mother Ghana at all times.

In defending Ghana, it pays for every one to be law abiding and responsible.

With this year's theme "We are one, Ghana first", in focus, citizens were urged to live in harmony with one another to help maintain law and order in order not be caught on the wrong side of the law.

The NCCE team were George Amponsah Boateng (SCEO) Frederick Akuamoah ACEO and Lily Ampofoa Annor (PFO).
