Chelsea returnee defender, David Luiz has revealed that his love for the English outfit was the reason he made the sensational comeback to the team.

Chelsea sold the Brazilian to French top tier side, Paris Saint Germain for a record fee of 50 million pounds two years ago.

However, Chelsea new boss Antonio Conte's search for a center back to compliment his usual pair, captain John Terry and Cahill has fallen on the 29 year old who seems to be troubled at the French side in recent times.

Fingers were pointed at Luiz recently after PSG were thrashed 3:1 by Monaco in the French League One. The defender was mostly blamed by club sympathisers for the defeat after giving away a "silly" penalty to the home team.

The player has insisted that, the main cause for his exit to Chelsea is his love for his former team.

Both clubs agreed on a fee of 34 million pounds ($45.09 million) for the transfer of the versatile footballer before transfer deadline on Wednesday.

"It's fantastic to have this second opportunity to play for this club. I love this club, that's why I am here," Luiz told www.chelseafc.com.

"It will be an amazing opportunity to show the fans again how I love this club. I cannot wait to wear the shirt and play at Stamford Bridge again."

Luiz was quick to state his intentions of winning major trophies with the Blues.

"Of course I want to win the Premier League and of course I want to win all the titles again," he added.

"I am here because I have ambition to play for a big club and when you play for a big club you need to think about winning every single match."

Luiz could feature in Chelsea's next game at Swansea City on September 11.
