Credible information reaching Kasapafmonline.com indicate that rampaging youth of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are on a seizing spree of state facilities have set President Mahama’s Cantonments official residence as their next target.

This website is informed that the irate youth plan to storm the house which has become a subject of controversy and make life uncomfortable for the family of the ex president after he requested the Akufo Addo-led government to allow him continue to reside in the facility in his retirement period.

There’s been a lot of public agitation after reports emerged that Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia was stranded becuase ex-President Mahama has refused to vacate his residence which is an official accomodation for a serving Vice President.

The angry NPP youth see their intended action as one which will be a retaliation of the treatment meted out to former President Kufour who was ejected by some Ga-Dagme youth from a building in Accra he wanted to use as his office after he exited power in 2009. That action reportedly had the blessing of the NDC government at the time.

Kasapafmonline.com‘s intellegence has been corroborated by the Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahene who told Kasapa News that he stopped some incensed party youth from besieging ex President Mahama’s residence.

As though a coordinated move, NPP youth in some parts of the country on Monday embarked on a rampage, locking and completely taking over some state institutions.

They say they are exacting retribution for what they went through in the hands of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) when it won power in the 2008 elections.

The situation in Accra in the Greater Accra Region, was the same in places like Bodi in the Western Region, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region and Tamale in the Northern Region.

A group linked to the NPP, Invincible Forces, stormed the Passport Office in Accra and drove out workers, while their colleagues in Tamale put the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and National Disaster Management Office (NADMO) under lock and key.

At Bodi in the Western Region, NPP youth forced their way into the offices of the National Health Insurance (NHIS) in the district. While the Rattray Park situated in Kumasi also came under attack by some 30 youth who identified themselves as members of the NPP Patriots, a group reportedly linked to the party’s security wing.
