Barbadian megastar songstress and fashion icon Rihanna is the latest beauty to grace the cover of Vogue magazine, complete with a new interview on all things RiRi such as the celebrated Thick-anna era, hitting the big 3-0 in February, and surprisingly, her current relationship status with Toronto rap star Drake.

Since about last summer, it became apparent that the two former love birds were no longer a thing. But according to Rihanna, they’re unfortunately no longer friends, either.

As penned by Vogue writer Chioma Nnadi, the Anti singer became somewhat indifferent when the conversation stopped on the Young Money rapper. One of the most epic Drihanna moments from the pair happened during the 2016 MTV VMA Awards when he took the honor of presenting the bad gal with the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Drizzy delivered a flattering speech as he outpoured unabashed adoration and glorification of the Roc Nation artist. The Rihanna Navy swooned to the heavens over the speech, but RiRi wasn’t so moved in that very moment as she stood on stage beside him.

“Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part,” she said. “I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast.”

She doesn't give any context into the breach that occurred in her relationship with Drake, but reveals that it’s apparently downgraded from what it once was.

“We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either,” she stated. “It is what it is.”

And that it is, especially since RiRi’s connection to Saudi bae billionaire Hassan Jameel in the past year. After the two were spotted in paparazzi flicks locking lips while overseas, fans have been heart-eyed and giddy for the rumored couple ever since. She doesn’t confirm her status with Jameel, however, but just know Rihanna is floating on cloud nine after finally maintaining a suitable work and life equilibrium.

“Even mentally, just to be away from my phone, to be in the moment, that has been key for my growth,” she said. “Now, when I come to work, I’m all in. Because before you know it, the years will go by. I’m glad I’m taking the time. I’m happy.”

And as long as the bad gal’s happy, so are we!
