He has since joining the Saudi-based side been an integral part of the club but is yet to return for pre-season training.

His Saudi side Al-Ettifaq Club continues its training at the Al-Qadisiyah Redemption Stadium.

This comes as part of Faris Al-Dahna's preparations for the first phase of his preparations for the new season 2022-2023.

He is not alone as the other international players such as Naim Al-Saliti, Hamed Al-Ghamdi, Ibrahim Mahnchi, Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, and Swede-Ghanaian Robin Quayson have all been handed extended breaks following commitments with their national team.
