Former  Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association Ibrahim Saani Daara has hailed the leadership of Accra Hearts of oak, calling on the fans to rally behind the men at helm.

The pronouncement by the communication expert comes at the back of a major  sponsorship deal between the Phobians and global sportswear and football equipment manufacturing giants Umbro.

The award-winning ex-BBC journalist  believes the Umbra deal, which is the biggest in the club’s history,  is a milestone chalked by the Noonan-led administration in  "difficult times" of football in the country.

"Even in these difficult times with talent drain look at what Noonan has been able to achieve," he said.

"The bigger picture is that at the start of every season, Hearts will reveal two new jerseys. We are on the same footing with some of the best clubs in the world."

Hearts of oak's rich  history has  in  recent times blighted with poor performances, sparking virtriolic attacks on the board and management of the club

With mixed reactions, some fans have described The Togbe Afede-led board as one of the  poorest in the history club.

The 107-year old club has not seen any major success since the 2008/09 season when they last won the Premier league, a development that has left most of the fans dejected.

But with his  wealth of knowledge and experience in communications and the football industry, Saani Daara, who is currently the General Manger of Zylophone Media, thinks a little bit of patience and support will transform into a major success for the year 2000 champions league winners in their aim of rebranding.

"If we are patient with Noonan and Togbe and we build the academy on tight structures in some few years Hearts will dominate Ghana and Africa again," he said.

"Crucially we will be able to make business on both ends of selling top talents and keeping top talents. Both will sit side by side."
