Asante Kotoko have finally parted ways with their player Sam Adams barely eight months after joining the Kumasi based side from Aduana Stars.

The club had informed the player that he was surplus to requirements long ago but the sticking point was his compensation which the club needed to pay.

According to our sources, the club has paid the former Aduana Stars player GHC 10,000 as compensation after he signed for the club for two years when he joined in 2019.

Adams barely played at Kotoko and has now been deemed surplus to requirements and has mutually terminated his deal with the club.

He has been training with the Dormaa based club the past few weeks and is expected to sign a contract with the club he knows so well very soon.

Sam Adams played three games for Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the truncated 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League before it was truncated due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He was integral member of the 2017 Aduana squad that played in the CAF Confederations Cup.
