Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam George, has made donations of furniture to some basic schools in the constituency.

The former presidential staffer made the donation to six schools in fulfilment of a promise he made to his constituents.

One of Sam George’s major campaign messages during the 2016 Parliamentary elections was that he would help give education an uplift when voted into Parliament.

True to his word, the young legislator has made some amount of investment into the education of his constituents since being voted as MP.

Currently, he supports over 40 students, ranging from secondary schools to the Masters level, with scholarships.

However, his latest gesture is aimed at improving education at the Kindergarten and basic school levels.

Sam George donated the furniture to the Prampram Anglican '2' Basic School, Prampram D/A 'B' Basic School, Prampram S.D.A. Basic School, Lakpleku-Djinahor D/A Basic School, Ahwiam D/A Basic 'A' School and the Ahwiam D/A Basic 'B'.

The MP was accompanied by the District Director of Education and the District Coordinating Director to make the donations.

Sam George further pledged that extend such gesture to more schools in the Ningo Prampram constituency in the coming weeks.

“It is my utmost hope that within the next 5 weeks, I would be able to do the next phase which would cover another 12 more schools. I am grateful to my District Director of Education whose vision and constant pressure has made this intervention possible,” he said in a statement.

“It melted my heart seeing the joy on the faces of these little ones. Yet another promise fulfilled to the glory of GOD. I forge on in service to my people as best as I can,” he added.
