Ghana Premier League champions Samartex have bolstered their squad with the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Japheth Norvienyo during the ongoing transfer window.

Norvienyo joins the Timber Giants after concluding his tenure with fellow Premier League side, Nations FC.

The highly-rated shot-stopper has penned a three-year contract with Samartex, which will keep him at the club until 2027.

This acquisition significantly strengthens Samartex's goalkeeping department, providing a new dimension to the team's defensive lineup.

Norvienyo is anticipated to play a crucial role in the upcoming football season.

In the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign, Norvienyo made 14 appearances for Nations FC, showcasing his talent and solidifying his reputation as a promising goalkeeper.

Currently, Samartex is in the Eastern Region, preparing for the new season.

The club is set to compete in three major tournaments: the FA Cup, the Ghana Premier League, and the CAF Champions League.
