Kevin-Prince Boateng is courting interest from struggling Italian Serie A side Sampdoria in the winter transfer window.

The Italian side are looking to avoid relegation as they currently seek for survival in the Italian Serie A.

Boateng after a long winding journey across the globe decided to return to his boyhood club Hertha Berlin but his deal will run out in the summer.

He is yet to reach an agreement on an extension with his boyhood club Hertha Berlin and may be ready to move to his old stomping ground Italy.

K.P Boateng shone for AC Milan and also played for Fiorentina briefly before last season playing for lower tier side AC Monza.

The Italian side Sampdoria are currently struggling in the league lying 16th four points above the relegation zone with coach Roberto D’Aversa having been sacked for the team's poor form.

Sampdoria are in dire need for reinforcement and think that the 34 year old veteran midfielder can help them avoid relegation.
