Samsung is all set to make a big comeback in the budget smartphone market in India today with the launch of the new Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones. Both the smartphones are made in India exclusively for the Indian market and will be available here first. Apart from being priced aggressively, both the smartphones-- Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20-- offer a much needed break from the budget phones made by Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Honor and others.
Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 prices and availability
Samsung will launch a total of four smartphones-- two variants of Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 each. The Samsung Galaxy M10 could reportedly be available in 3GB of RAM/ 32GB storage and 2GB of RAM/16GB storage options. Both the versions will support microSD cards.
Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 expected prices
As far as the prices are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy M10 (2GB of RAM/16GB) is expected to be priced at Rs 7,990 while the 3GB of RAM/ 32GB storage variant could cost Rs 8,990. On the other, the Samsung Galaxy M20 is expected to be available in 3GB of RAM/32GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM/64GB of internal storage options.
Samsung has already announced that the new Galaxy M series smartphones will be available exclusively on Amazon.in. It is expected that Samsung will launch only sell both the phones online.
Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 specs
Both the Galaxy M10 and M20 are Samsung’s first smartphones to feature a notch display. The smartphones are expected to offer dual-lens rear cameras. The Galaxy M10 and M20 will most likely run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. Rumours suggest that the Galaxy M10 might not come with a fingerprint scanner and could support only Face Unlock. On the other hand, the Galaxy M20 will have a fingerprint scanner at the back and will offer support for Face Unlock as well.
Ahead of launching the new Galaxy M series--Galaxy M10 and M20-- smartphones in India, Samsung has launched its new processor in the Exynos 7 series in the form of Exynos 7904. The new octa-core Exynos 7904 processor is expected to power the Galaxy M20 smartphone. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy M10 is also expected to be powered by an Exynos processor.
The Galaxy M20 could feature the largest battery to be ever present on a Samsung phone and it could house a 5,000mAh battery.
