Ghanaian musicians, Sarkodie and Fancy Gadam have appeared in the final semester exams of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
The lyrics of Fancy Gadam's award winning song, ‘Total Cheat,’ which features Ghana's rap king, Sarkodie came under scrutiny as part of an examination question.
The students were asked to examine the lyrics of the song which won ‘Song of the Year’ award at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards for instances of misogyny.
They were also asked to explain consequences of misogyny in rap music.
‘Total Cheat’ was released in July 2017, and has garnered over 700, 000 views on Youtube.
