Scottish League One side Peterhead FC have won over supporters about 3000 miles away from Scotland in Ghana.

The League One team who made a club history last year when they reached thier first Challenge Cup final made the discovery when an avid supporter, Mrs May West travelled to Northern Ghana with four friends from the Assemblies of God church in Fraserburgh in an effort to distribute 1,000 bibles to children in schools and orphanages.

Mrs May brought along 33 replica Peterhead FC strips donated by a George Donald, clothing partner of the club based in Scotland.  According to the stalwart supporter, the people in northern Ghana were delighted to be a part of the history of the Scottish team.  "When handing over the shirts the sheer delight on their faces and appreciation is a memory that will always stay with me." She said.

"Peterhead FC were delighted to see their ex-stock of replica shirts being put to good use. The club works very closely with George Donald, one of the club's commercial partners and we had no hesitation in agreeing to assisting May in her quest." The club manager added.
