Former Ghana international Samuel Inkoom believes the current form of Antoine Semenyo could play a decisive role in Ghana’s ambitions at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

‎Speaking to Connect FM, the former defender said the striker’s consistency could propel the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars to the latter stages of the tournament.

‎“If Semenyo stays consistent, Ghana can make it to the finals of the World Cup,” Inkoom said.

‎Semenyo has been enjoying the best form of his career in the English Premier League this season. The Ghana forward began the campaign with AFC Bournemouth, where he scored several goals before completing a move to Manchester City during the January transfer window.

‎Since arriving at City, the striker has continued his impressive run, contributing eight goals and two assists for the Premier League giants. Across the season, he has scored 15 league goals, placing him third on the league’s top scorers chart.

‎His performances have raised hopes among Ghanaian supporters that he can replicate the same form for the Black Stars when the global tournament kicks off in 2026.

‎With the World Cup approaching, many fans will be looking to Semenyo to lead Ghana’s attack and help the four-time African champions make a deep run on football’s biggest stage.
