Shafiu Mumuni has reportedly signed for ambitious Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC in the current transfer winddow.

The Dawu based club beat off stiff competition from Kumasi Asante Kotoko to sign the former Ashgold captain on a free transfer.

It's a major coup for the club which signifies their intent to compete with the big boys for the Ghana Premier League title and the FA Cup.

The striker is believed to have signed a two year contract with the still believe side and will be playing for the upcoming season.

Shafiu Mumuni became a free agent after failing to agree contract terms with Obuasi Ashantigold SC.

He went on trials with Romanian side CFR Cluj at the beginning of the year but things did not work out as planned.

Mumuni was the top scorer for the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations after netting four goals at the tournament.

He was handed his maiden call-up to the Black Stars in the last two Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe last November.
