DANCEHALL artiste, Shatta Wale, and his management team have paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Ambassador of the Italian Embassy in Ghana, H. E. Lorenzo Pinelli.

The team met with Mr Pinelli on Monday, August 13 to get an insight into the operations of the embassy and also discuss possible areas of partnership.

The musician has been engaging with the relevant stakeholders to drive his youth empowerment initiative.

During the meeting, Shatta Wale expressed his desire to work with the embassy and its partners to address pertinent issues affecting young people in both countries and also work on programmes to help strengthen and build the Ghanaian creative arts industry.

He also shared information about his planned youth empowerment project aimed at building the capability of the youth to make them self-sufficient.

On his part, Mr. Pinelli expressed his appreciation to Shatta Wale and his team for the visit and indicated the readiness of the embassy to collaborate with him at all times to pursue any project of mutual interest.

Italy and Ghana maintain excellent bilateral relations, consolidated by recent political missions at the highest levels.

Shatta Wale formerly known as Bandana was born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. was born in Accra, Ghana, on October 17, 1984 to Charles Nii Armah Mensah Sr., a politician and Elsie Evelyn Avemegah.

Shatta Wale attended Seven Great Princes Academy at Dansoman, a suburb in Accra where he demonstrated an affinity for arts and acted in a popular drama series, By The Fireside at the National Theatre of Ghana.

He won the Artiste of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Award(VGMA)2014. He is the  founder of the Shatta Movement Records (SM) or (SM4LYF).

Shatta wale who has a son Majesty with girlfriend, Shatta Michy has Wale acted in movies Never Say Never and Shattered Lives.
