Controversial Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale seem to have taken a swipe at one of his many industry foes, Sarkodie with the purchase of a brand new Mercedes-Benz.

Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, the Zylofon Music signee who turned a year older yesterday bought a Mercedes Benz car as a birthday gift and registered it “Advice 1 – 18”.

This comes a few days after rapper Sarkodie released a diss song titled ‘My Advice’ targeted at Shatta Wale.

The diss song, since its release, got the whole country talking, especially on social media.

‘My Advice’ seems to be Sarkodie’s response to Shatta Wale after the latter described him as “very poor”.

In what could be described as a subtle response to Sarkodie’s song, Shatta Wale, in a tweet on Thursday, 18 October, said: “Advice well taken…Mercedes-Benz no Dey talk”.

Shatta Wale who seems unperturbed by the negative comments about his album revealed that promotion of songs will kick start soon.

He stated that the ‘Reign’ album is about to begin with a radio tour, a meeting with disc jockeys and some parties.

The ‘Kakai’ hitmaker launched his anticipated album on October 13, 2018, at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Center in Accra.

The first copy of the album was bought for ₵150,000.
