Sheffield United set sights on Daniel Amartey
2nd August 2019
Sheffield United are plotting to sign Leicester City midfielder Daniel Amartey ahead of Thursday’s deadline.
The newly-promoted English Premier League side are said to be interested in the defender who recently made his return to pitch after a long-injury lay-off.
Reports indicate that Blades manager, Christ Wilder has turn his attention to the Ghanaian as he looks for a defensive-minded midfielder who can also operate at the back.
Amartey certainly fits the bill, with the ability to operate in both positions. The 24-year-old’s top flight experience in England also appeals.
He is however under contract at the King Power Stadium until 2022, after signing a new deal in December.
