The skipper of the Black Star B Shafiu Mumuni made history on Tuesday with his hatrick against Ivory Coast in the 2019 WAFU tournament.

The Ashanti Gold SC forward became the first-ever player to score a hat-trick at the WAFU Cup since its inception.

He registered his name thrice on the score sheet to ensure Ghana a ticket to the finals of this year's edition of the tournament.
His goals inflicted a 3-1 painful defeat on the Elephants of Ivory Coast in their semi-final encounter at the ongoing tournament in Senegal.
Mumuni was named the man of the match for his explosive output.

He now leads the tournament's goal king chat with four, having scored the equaliser against Burkina Faso at the quarter-final stage.
