SK Brann lost heavily on Sunday in the Norwegian Eliteserien league when they were thumped 5-1 by Valerenga away from home.

They lost the three points but they also lost their top scorer and key player Gilbert Koomson to an injury in the process.

Henrik Bjordal opened the floodgates in the 5th minute before Petter Strand equalized in the eight minute in a match which produced six goals in its entirety.

Vior Orn Kjartansson scored a hat trick with his goals coming in the 14th, 16th and 23rd minutes respectively.

The Ghanaian atrtacking midfielder when down injured  in the 28th minute when he  stayed on the grass and stuck to his thigh.

He was replaced by Erlend Hustad after 28 minutes as he went off injured.

Koomson has been in great goal scoring form this season for SK Brann scoring eight goals from midfield in 16 appearances.

Team mates Daniel Pedersen, Ole Martin Kolskogen, Gilli Rolantsson, Marcus Mehnert, Fredrik Haugen, Taijo Teniste and Amer Ordagic made up the line of sick and injured players when Brann met Vålerenga and could not feature.
