USL Championship side Phoenix Rising Football Club have announced that Ghanaian winger Solomon Asante will leave the club ahead of the new season.

The 31 year old Ghanaian winger joined the lower tier American side in 2018 after departing Congolese side TP Mazembe on a free transfer.

Solomon Asante made 114 appearances in all competitions for Phoenix Rising FC throughout his four year stay at the club where he became a cult hero and captain.

The diminutive winger standing at 5ft 2 inches was mighty for the club as he scored 54 goals and made 43 assists and won back to back MVP awards in the USL.

Solomon Asante won the USL Championship title with the side as well as a golden boot award in the 2019 USL Championship season.

Reports are that he may head back home to Ghana and may play for his former club Berekum Chelsea with his next destination to be known in the coming days.
