Ghanaian forward Solomon Asante was powerless as his Phoenix Rising side conceded a late equalizer to Las Vegas Lights FC.

Aodhan Quinn and Santi Moar scored goals on Saturday night at Phoenix Rising FC extended its unbeaten streak to eight games with a 2-2 draw against Las Vegas Lights FC at Cashman Field.

Rising FC was playing its second road game in four days, having defeated Oakland 1-0 on Wednesday.

Phoenix had to battle back from an early deficit. In the 12th minute Roberto Molina took pass from Antonie Leone in the corner, dribbled past two Rising FC defenders and beat goalkeeper Ben Lundt with a hard shot past his left.

Rising FC responded in the 29th minute when Moar converted a penalty kick to tie the match. Moar had his legs taken out by Vegas keeper Alex Rando, creating the PK opportunity.

Three minutes into first-half stoppage time Phoenix finally took the lead on a hard, low ball from Quinn that David Egbo let go at the top of the 6-yard box, confusing Rando enough that the ball found the net.

But the lead would not hold up, as Vegas found the equalizer in the 84th minute when Mohamed Traore converted a cross.
Phoenix returns to action on Saturday with a home match against Orange County FC.
