Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Mohammed, currently playing for West Ham United, has become known for his unique goal celebration where he sits on the advertising pitch panel.

While the celebration has gained popularity among fans and fellow players, Kudus humorously stated that he may soon start charging a tax for its replication.

Since joining West Ham from Ajax, Kudus has quickly become a fan favorite, showcasing his talent on the field.

His celebration, initially seen after scoring against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup last November, has become a phenomenon.

It has been emulated by various players, including Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and the entire West Ham Under-21 team.

Reflecting on the origins of his celebration, Kudus explained to The Times that he wanted to do something unique and meaningful to him, rather than the typical celebrations seen in football.

"I wanted to do something out of the box because most celebrations are pretty normal, sliding and stuff. I wanted to add more meaning to me scoring.

He views the act of sitting down and resting after scoring a goal as a representation of his personal style.

"It's all about sitting down, resting after scoring a goal, but literally there's no deeper meaning than that."

While acknowledging that others are allowed to replicate his celebration, Kudus joked about imposing a tax on it in the future.

"Even when I [first] did it there were talks that people were doing it before, though I didn't see anybody doing it that way. But, yeah, [other players] are allowed to do it — but soon they will have to start paying taxes!"

Despite this humorous remark, he emphasized that his primary goal is to bring joy to fans and make their experience worth the ticket price.

With an impressive debut season in England, Kudus has scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists in 34 matches across all competitions.
