The Eastern regional police commander, DCOP Peterkin Yentumi, could not vote in today’s special voting as dozens of security personnel across the country fear being disenfranchised.

According to Starr News’ correspondent in the region, Kojo Ansah, the police capo could not vote because his name was not part of the special voting list.

At Affram plains, he added, “the report is that most police officers couldn't find their names. The affected persons have been asked to go to the constituencies where they registered.”

Eliasu Tanko and Lambert Atsivor - our correspondents in the Northern and Volta region respectively - reported that scores could not find their names on the lists leading to extreme anger.

“Security personnel are upset over the EC's last minute decision for them to go to their original constituencies to do the special voting,” Starr News' correspondents said as police personnel in the Northern region are threatening to boycott post on elections day.
