Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Stephen Manu has bemoaned the lack of quality in the semi-final clash between Hearts of Oak and Kotoko at the Babayara Stadium on Wednesday.

The experienced player watched in the stands as his former team were eliminated by the Phobians on penalties (4-2) after the match ended goalless in regulation time.

Speaking to Kumasi-based ASHH FM, ‘BA’ said he wasn’t impressed by the standard of football;

“To be honest with you, I didn’t enjoy the game at all. It looked as if both teams had no plan, they just kept hoofing the ball up the pitch. To me I didn’t enjoy good football as a spectator”

The lancky striker blamed the fact that it was a pre season game and both teams were trying new players and ideas ahead of the new season but insisted the quality could have been much better.

The Former Techiman City hitman also remained coy over reports that he is set to return to Ghana top-flight division with AshantiGold rumored to be in pole position for his signature.
