Students of Atebubu Fakwasi Presby basic school in Atebubu/Amantin Municipality of the Bono East Region have been compelled to write on the floor due to inadequate number of classroom desks.

The school established 17 years is dilapidated and has not seen any renovation.

According to teachers of the school who spoke to Peace FM's Bono East Regional Correspondent, Kwabena Manu; the situation has adversely affected teaching and learning.

According to them, what even makes the situation worse is that the classrooms have no doors leaving room for some domestic animals to perch.

They added that the school also has no teaching and learning materials and lack computers for practical lessons.

This came to light when the Municipal Director of Education for the area, Rev. Oppong Adjei visited the school to acquaint himself with the challenges facing the school.

He assured the teachers and elders of the community of his willingness to resolve the problem.

Elders of the community are also appealing to philanthropists to come to their aid.
