Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has made a passionate appeal to all Ghanaians to cooperate with the Bank of Ghana in the bid to clean up the financial sector which has been riddled with controversy over the last couple of months.

Speaking at a Danquah Institute forum to discuss the current banking crisis, Mr Ofori-Atta noted that the jobs that have been lost in the cleaning process are regrettable but an even greater risk lie ahead if the urgent steps are not taken.

The Finance Minister indicated that his ministry and the Bank of Ghana are confident the steps being taken would inure to the benefit of the country as a whole.
