Ace broadcaster Kwame Sefa Kayi has viciously attacked the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the 'indecent' attack that took place at the Tamale Teaching Hospital by a pro-NPP vigilante group in the Northern Region, the Kandahar Boys.

Earlier this week, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tamale Teaching hospital, David Zaawumya Kolbila was chased out of his office by the Kandahar Boys after they stormed the hospital.

The group accused Dr David Kolbila of mismanagement, corruption and nepotism.

The Kandahar boys alleged that Dr Kolbila has established a number of companies which he is using to lobby for supplies for the hospital.

Spokesperson of the group Baba Musah in an interview, openly indicated they [Kandahar boys] would return if their concerns are not resolved.

But the popular journalist, speaking on his Kokrokoo program Thursday openly condemned the act, saying it makes absolutely no sense for hoodlums to undertake such unscrupulous actions. He said he does not understand why some leaders of the NPP will stand in the way of the Police in carrying out their duties in such an important issue that has to do with national security.

"These Kandahar boys or whatever they call themselves, what at all do they they think they are? This stupidity and nonsense must stop for once. But surprisingly you will get some leaders of the party preventing the Police to arrest the perpetrators", said Sefa Kayi.

Chairman General as he is affectionately called, opined the 13 Delta Force members in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi who were asked to pay a fine and go free after they pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit crimes and rioting, at the Asokwa District Court in Kumasi, should have been slashed with at least a 3-year jail term to serve as a deterrent to others.

Sefa Kayi, described the act by the Kandahar boys as useless, indecent and a complete nonsense.

He charged the leadership of the NPP and other political leaders to put an end to the unnecessary defense they give to their members whenever such issues erupt, so as to allow the security agencies to carry out its mandates dutifully to stop vigilantism in the country.
