English born Ghanaian teen sensation Tariq Lamptey scored twice for Chelsea but it was enough to end them through in the Leasing.com Trophy.

Chelsea spurned a two nil halftime lead to lose to league two side Wallsall as the young blues were pipped by 3-2.

Tariq Lamptey gave Chelsea a two goal lead in the 3rd and 10th minutes ahead of the half time break with his brace inside the first ten minutes.

A cross struck the hand of Ian Matsen which the referee awarded a spot kick which was fiercely converted by Lavery.

Wallsall pulled one back through a penalty kick before Wes McDonald fired fiercely into the net for the leveller.

Seven minutes of time was added on with the game looking like heading into penalty shoot outs.

Dan Scarr took matters into his own hands and sent a shot from distance to book his team's place in the last 16 of the competition.

With 15 minutes to end the game two goal hero for Chelsea Tariq Lamptey sustained an injury and was replaced by Jon Russell.

Chelsea were semi finalist in this same Leasing.com Trophy last year but have now been kicked out in the round of 16.
