The Managing Director of Tema Development Company (TDC) Ghana Limited, Courage Nunekpeku, has announced a wide-ranging transformation agenda aimed at repositioning the state-owned housing developer as a more efficient, technology-driven organisation focused on providing affordable and sustainable housing for Ghanaians.
Speaking at TDC’s 5th Annual General Meeting in Tema, which reviewed the company’s performance for the 2024 financial year and assessed progress from 2020 to 2024, Nunekpeku said the company is redefining its operations after more than seven decades in Ghana’s housing sector.
He explained that TDC is broadening its range of services to enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency. The new offerings include premium services, courier services, a 24-hour call centre and a business centre, all designed to modernise service delivery and better meet the evolving needs of customers.
“TDC is transforming into a more efficient, tech-driven institution focused on delivering affordable and sustainable housing for Ghanaians,” Nunekpeku stated.
He added that innovation and impactful developments are at the heart of the company’s strategy, with the expansion of affordable housing projects identified as a major priority.
According to him, TDC has obtained the necessary clearances from the Municipal Finance and the Public Procurement Authority for its affordable housing initiative and has reached the award stage, clearing the path for implementation.
Nunekpeku expressed optimism that the new initiatives will enhance TDC’s role in Ghana’s housing agenda, while improving access to housing and the quality of services provided to customers.
