Livid Tema Youth have filed a report against the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Prosper Harrison Addo for his unilateral response to their petition about the promotion of Accra Lions which they deem is unfair and illegitimate.

According to the club, Prosper Harrison Addo did not have any capacity on his own to respond to their petition as it was meant for the GFA's judicial bodies.

The club are of the opinion that the GFA General Secretary has scores to settle with them that is why he responded unilaterally to their petition instead of forwarding it to the judicial bodies of the GFA.

Despite being a lawyer, the aggrieved club feel that he was not the rightful person to have responded o their petition as he does not belong to any of the GFA's judicial bodies and is only a General Secretary.

According to Ghanasoccernet, Tema Youth who have filed a petition with the global sports judicial body, Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) have reported the conduct of the GFA's scribe which they deem arbitrary and unwarranted.

Disgruntled Tema Youth are set for another legal battle with the Ghana Football Association at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

This follows the GFA's decision to dismiss a petition filed by Tema Youth which sought to annul the promotion of Accra Lions to the Ghana Premier League.

Tema Youth filed their case at the global sports judicial body last week over what they term as unfair and bias ruling by the GFA's adjudicatory bodies.

Among other things Tema Youth were seeking for the annulment of Accra Lion's promotion to the Ghana Premier League from Zone 3.

Promotion from the Zone Three was tight and had to be decided on head to head rule and superior goal difference as both sides finished the season on 65 points each.

Tema Youth are aggrieved that the Appeals Committee of the GFA erroneously applied articles 13 of the Division One League Regulations which talks about withdrawals of clubs from the competition.

They aver that the rule was applied differently in the cases of the withdrawal of Amidaus Professionals from the League on 7th May,2021 and Phar Rangers on 21st July,2021.

The Tema based club which is owned by the 2019 GFA Presidential aspirant Wilfred Osei  KwakuPalmer  is seeking the GFA to apply a uniform application of the law in the cases involving Amidaus Professionals and Phar Rangers.

This they believe when applied  will mean they qualify from the Division One Zone Three into the Premier League and not Accra Lions  as it is now.
