Coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, Ernest Thompson has laid into Kotoko's Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama who before Wednesday's league clash described as ordinary and not better than most midfielders in the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko on Wednesday defeated Ebusua Dwarfs by Christopher Nettey goal in their outstanding Ghana Premier League clash at the Cape Coast stadium.

"Fabio Gama has added some vibe to the Kotoko set up but he’s not an all in all player that we fear.We have equally better midfielders than Fabio Gama at Dwarfs which I can beat my chest without any doubt,I will say that today, tomorrow and the next day," he told Kumasi FM.

"People are overhyping Fabio Gama, who is he? There are better midfielders in Ghana than Fabio Gama before he came here lets stop over hyping him."

"He’s good but he is not a game changer. Lets not rate him as if we’ve not seen his type in Ghana. We have a lot of players who are playing better than him. Gladson Awako is even far better than Fabio Gama." these are the words of the Dwarfs coach before the game.

Speaking after Wednesday's clash he intimated that the midfielder was not playing well that is why he was subbed off for Nany Keita in the second half of the game.

“The kitchen was too hot for Gama and you saw it. That is why he was taken off. I said it before the game and am justified"

“Before the game I said that we were going to neutralize some of their players and you can see that Kwame Poku was a passenger in the game.

“I am very proud of my boys. They performed well but we lost at the end. But I am happy with the performance” he added.
