NEW DELHI: Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has reportedly scheduled an event for March 25, where it is expected to launch its new subscription-based service and Apple AirPods 2. Now it is also expected that the company might show off its seventh-generation Apple iPad and iPad mini 5. According to the certifications from Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Apple might also unveil these two devices.

The rumors suggest that the Apple iPad Mini 5 will look exactly the same as the iPad Mini 4 which the company introduced in 2015. The tablet will only get an upgrade in terms of processor. The Apple iPad Mini 5 is said to be powered by Apple's A8 chipset, which the company introduced in 2016 along with the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus.

However, the important question here is about the specifications of the seventh generation iPad. As reported by Macotakara, the device is said to come with a screen size of 10-inches. On the other hand, some other rumours claim that it will be of the same size as its previous generations.

The report also suggests that the company is also planning to retain three old features in the new iPad as well. As per Macotakara, the seventh generation Apple iPad will not ditch the Touch ID for Face ID. This means that the 10-inch tablet will come with the same Touch ID fingerprint scanner.

So, the new tablet will have same old home button. Sources also suggest that the new iPad will retain the 3.5mm audio jack. Along with this, the new Apple iPad is also expected to come with the Lightning port and it will not be replaced by USB Type C.
