General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr George Amoako appears to have suggested the porcupine warriors have patched up with mercurial Burkinabe striker Sogne Yacouba.

The Burkinabe import has been at odds with his club for months over attempts to secure a move away from the Kumasi based club.

Kotoko had wanted to extend his contract while Yacouba too had other ideas, angling for a move to seek greener pastures.

Ahead of Kotoko’s game against bitter rivals Hearts of Oak in the President’s Cup game in Kumasi, Mr Amoako has distanced himself from his earlier position that Kotoko will move on without Yacouba instead suggesting that there was a confusion between the club and Yacouba but has been resolved amicably.

“There is no issues between Kotoko and Yacouba he is a footballer he got injured his expectations were so high and he didn’t make it clear to us we gave him a lot of opportunities.”

“That is past and gone he has agreed to come back and he is training with us I’m told he is doing fantastic in training. His injury is well managed so let’s see what he does in the Hearts of Oak game because we are using the Hearts of Oak game as a precursor to the Etoile match” he said.

Sogne Yacouba is set to return to the Kotoko set up in the President’s cup game on Sunday after a long hiatus away from the side.
