Asante Kotoko annihilated Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a 5-0 drabbing in their match day 20 Ghana Premier League clash.

A brace from George Mfegue Omgba, a goal from the spot from the Ghana Premier League leading goal scorer Frank Mbella for his 14th of the season, gave Kotoko a 3-0 lead.

Augustine Agyapong scored his first Kotoko goal with a thunderous strike before Samuel Boateng wrapped up the game with the fifth goal.

Speaking after the game, the former University of Cape Coast lecturer revealed that he was impressed with the performance of his players as they exploited spaces left by their opponents due to their high press.

"The performance was ok. We were able to keep the ball, we were able to create spaces. They came too high up on us a lot of times and left spaces behind them and we were able to send those long accurate passes to create those chances to score."

"Scoring five against Goldstars tells the determination, confidence and the discipline with which the boys used to approach this game and I'm ok with that."

Kotoko will play against Techiman Eleven Wonders away from home in their next fixture.
